The University of Georgia is announcing an essay competition on Human Rights, in lieu of the International Day of Human rights coming up on December 10^th.

Conditions:

Contestants are required to write an essay one of the following topics.  Please choose:

1)      Human Rights – Innate or Empowered by the State

2)      Human Rights and Development

12th graders and students from all around Georgia are welcome to participate (including international students).

The jury of the University of Georgia (professors of the School of Las) will reveal winners in 3 categories.  Each competitor will receive an award.  All participants will receive certificates of participation.

Criteria:

• Essay must be no more than 3 pages in length;
• A 4 format, Sylfaen shrift 12 must be used;
• Idea should be clearly stated;
• The work must be stylistically and grammatically correct.
